The Joseph Project provides hope, resources and faith-based education to Job Seekers. Successful completion of this 15 hour class are GUARANTEED an interview for a full-time, permanent careers with benefits with several participating companies. Current alumni of the program are making $13-$15 per hour with real health and dental insurance, 401(k), and education benefits in Sheboygan County.
Milwaukee Class (Greater Praise COGIC) | Apply for the program online
Greater Praise Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee located on 5422 W. Center St., Milwaukee, WI 53210 holds weekly orientation sessions on Wednesday at 10:00 AM for those interested in learning more. Our doors are open to walk-ins. You may also call the Church at 414-212-8428 to start the application process. Classes are run every month. Transportation to and from work is provided if needed or fill out the on-line application.
Sheboygan Class (Love Inc. of Sheboygan County)
Classes in Sheboygan run periodically. Those interested should contact Love, Inc.’s clearinghouse at 920-783-6701 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM or fill out the on-line application.
The program consists of short classes on: team work, time management, financial management, spiritual fitness, stress management, and conflict resolution to name a few. Program advocates will work with participants to develop interview skills as well as to assist in the writing of resumes. Classes run monthly.
Finding a family-wage sustaining job is competitive, but possible. The Joseph Project can guarantee participants will have a drug test in their future. If you feel you cannot pass a drug test, we still encourage you to attend an orientation session but let us know of your concern. Once your are clean, we will place you in a future class. Those who have been in prison are also welcome and encouraged to attend an orientation anytime after 6-months from being released. We have several ex-convicts working. However, the program is not accepting candidates who are awaiting a court trial.
The Joseph Project is a Career Placement Program endorsed by U.S. Senator for Wisconsin, Ron Johnson in partnership with a team of local advocates dedicated to promoting empowerment of the residents of the City of Milwaukee.
