OUR FOUR SEASONS
Sheboygan County is lucky to have four beautiful seasons all unique in their own way. Our community embraces each coming season with places to explore and festivals to attend. Get a glimpse below of the different seasons Someplace Better has to offer.
SOMEPLACE BETTER SEASONS

SPRING
March-May
Spring is here! Watch as plants begin to grow again as the weather warms. Take a bike ride, prepare your garden, or get ready for fishing! Every weekend is full of outdoor activities including festivals, run/walk fundraisers, community picnics and much more. Take a trip to local gardens for ideas on beautifying your home.

SUMMER
June – September
Summer is a very active time in Sheboygan County. Every weekend is filled with activities and festivals. Residents take advantage of our world class beaches and amenities to keep you cool all summer long. Farmers markets can be found weekly in multiple communities. You will find yourself going on a lot more staycations than you first expected!

FALL
September – November
With leaves of our abundant hardwood trees maturing into rich colors of reds, yellows and oranges, Fall allows you to enjoy a perfect hike through one of our many parks and hiking trails. You will feel comfortable as the warm (sometimes humid) summer turns into the perfect days to walk around with a light coat on. Get ready to experience a climate food explosion of the holidays, as the selection in local restaurants returns to fresh apples, pumpkins, squash, and wild rice.

WINTER
December – February
Winter in Wisconsin is what you make of it. The season is often spent with family indoors watching movies and playing games. Sheboygan County winters provide an opportunity to enjoy a different set of activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobile riding, or ice sports such as hockey or figure skating. Proper winter attire will need to be worn such as a winter jacket, boots, gloves, scarf and for those who wish to play in the snow, snow pants.
What’s It Like To Live In Someplace Better?

Mary and John Motiska
“Taking into consideration the excellent schools, the low crime rate, less traffic, and my sisters already living here, it was an easy transition. The lower cost of living was also a big plus.”

Phillip and Brittany Bock
“We love the lakeshore and the abundance of hiking trails – and it’s hard to beat the vibrant arts an music scene and world-class restaurants. We loved it so much that we even got married here.”

Lucy and Jose Aruajo
We moved to Sheboygan six years ago to reunite with our two sons who live here. We like Sheboygan because it is a safe, quiet and affordable city and people are kind and friendly.
