Things to Do
You’ll feel at home in Oostburg, if you’re drawn to a close-knit, family-friendly community. Every other summer, there’s the Heritage Days Festival, the “biggest block party” in the village. Local folks of all ages turn out in droves to support the sports teams. On a typical Friday night, it often seems as though the entire town is there to cheer on the football team.Go Dutchmen!
For many cyclists throughout Sheboygan County and beyond, Oostburg is a destination and rest break, often including breakfast at Judi’s Place. The Interurban Trail, once the Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company route, is a 40-mile paved path connecting Milwaukee and Sheboygan with a trailhead in Oostburg at DeMaster Road. The trail is free and available for non-motorized sports including bicycling, roller blading, cross-country skiing, running and bird watching. Oostburg is also only a few miles from Kohler-Andrae State Park.
