Kohler, WI (pop ~2,100) is one of the first planned communities in the United States and was founded as a model company town. Filled with red brick homes, roads that hug the landscape and quaint neighborhoods all originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the famous landscape architect who also designed Central Park in New York and Stanford’s campus.

Things to Do

From a community pool to tennis and t-ball to soccer, Kohler has an active recreation department and youth center. And as a world-class resort destination, there is always something special going on, from a renowned food and wine festival to a entire weekend celebrating chocolate.

On the 4th of July, Ravine Park is the place to be for an old-fashioned patriotic celebration featuring food, a Sousa concert and an outstanding fireworks display. Nestled on Wood Lake is the Shops at Woodlake with a grocery store and more than 20 specialty shops, boutiques and restaurants. Kohler boasts a diverse range of dining options from a quick and casual café in the Sports Core health and racquet club to The Immigrant Restaurant, an elegant AAA Four Diamond Award winner.
