Cedar Grove, WI (pop. ~2,100) home of Holland Fest – the largest dry festival in the state, features a full-sized windmill in its downtown, a nod to the community’s Dutch heritage. The Village has all the basic amenities including grocery and pharmacy. The community is small, quaint and very safe.

Things to Do

The town celebrates its Dutch heritage at its hugely popular Holland Festival held in Memorial Park. The two-day celebration, held each July for nearly 70 years, features a two-hour parade, street scrubbing, ethnic food, music and costumes. Kids don their wooden shoes for races and traditional Dutch dancing, called Klompen Dancing. You must try a Oliebollen, a classic Dutch doughnut, but don’t look for a beer. Holland Fest is one of the largest “dry” festivals in Wisconsin.

Mary’s Country Grove is a cozy restaurant with a beautiful display of feel good food! You can recharge with a cup of their homemade soup, order up a plate of munchies, or tackle any of their burgers and sandwiches. A family diner with home style cooking. Homemade soups and pies. Broasted chicken, Friday night fish fries and more.
